Check out Buster's incredible testimonial:
"I train at Steel Strength Training on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday morning, and they are my favorite mornings of the week. I started working out in March of 2017, and I've come a long way.
I'm in my mid-thirties, but I hadn't worked out consistently since I was in college. Each time I started a new workout routine, there always seemed to be some kind of life change that knocked me out of it shortly thereafter.
Now, we laugh about how decrepit I was when I started at Steel Strength training. The strain of dad-life had taken its toll on me, and I had all these little nagging injuries. For example, my right knee had bothered me for months. How did I injure it? Jumping with my kids at a trampoline park...sigh. Also, my elbow consistently bothered me...as a result of over-working it during a home improvement project months before.
I had also been working the corporate grind for the better part of 10 years. I spent a lot of time seated at a desk and in front of a computer screen. My mobility was awful...seriously I moved like an old man. Nate diagnosed me with a classic case of "office hips"... :)
So, honestly, it was a little embarrassing when I started working out again. I wanted to lift heavy right out of the gate, but Nate focused on improving my mobility first. He also cleaned up my form on my lifts. He would make me lower the weight on the bar if my form wasn't good. It took me several months to just get comfortable with the motions of the lifts (particularly the squats).
But now it is getting fun. I'm more mobile and flexible. And now that I've gotten my form down, I'm seeing more strength gains, which is always good for the ole male ego.
Most of all I just feel better. I've dropped about 10 pounds. I move better. I'm stronger. I fit better in my clothes. I have more energy. I don't have any of the nagging little injuries. And I've found that my workout days are my most productive work days of the week.
I'm thankful for Nate and for Steel Strength Training, and I'm looking forward to hitting my 2018 strength goals."
